6months of abstinence from running + sore throat & cough from O-night + phlegm/mucus clogging throat + 5.5hours of sleep the previous night = position 127 in roadrun.
i cannot say im not disappointed with my result. what indeed has happened to me, seriously. i used to be within the top ten positions of the girl runners in 2.4km, and now... :( earning the medal for 1st place with beta team one only made me more determined to train harder for next year's road run, and i will really really do it.
cny carnival was quite fun too, with lots of mad people throwing water bombs at each other and making the canteen floor really wet and dirty. lol. the only thing i didnt favour about the event was the crazy prices of the food and beverages sold by the various stalls. $2.50 for a measly plate of crazily oily fries that feel like worms and cheese spread? like REALLY. i gave some of the closer ones & the pretty OGLs some vday gifts too and it made me feel good seeing them receive my gift, even though it was really just a small token. i love the expression on shannen's face the most when i gave it to her! her face was 100% confusion. :D i also put my mortal's (zhiting) gift in the shelf outside SC room. hope she goes collect it.(: oh yea and thankyou jingwen, cherilynn, qianru and amanda for your gifts in advance! :D i love my balloon from qianru and the pretty drawing on it (explicitly by joanne) HAHAHAA!
after the cny celebration, we went back to ahs. initially we wanted to go collect the yearbooks and visit some teachers but in the end the staff in the general office told us to collect them only with our testimonials which will only be (when?). met cherlene there and we talked for a while before going to simei burger king, where we got reminded of the times we spent studying for O levels there. ate abit and talked about many interesting stuffs like how Little Red Riding Hood can be so impure lol:D haha literature really can make me think loads (: after chatting for about 2 hours we went t tampines mall for some shopping. haha we had a GREAT TIME at thefaceshop, playing with the wide variety of nail polish colours. i ended up going home with different colours on all my ten fingers lol. was debating internally whether to buy the happy orange or luscious gold, and finally i chose gold haha. I LOVE MY GOLD NAILS, THEY SHALL GIVE ME LUCK IN GAMBLING DURING CHINESE NEW YEAR:D joscelin bought a very sweet pink polish and cherlene bought pink eyeshadow& nude blusher(: SWEET SEVENTEEN GIRLS:D
ok i feel bimbotic lol.
oh ya and when we were playing with the polishes, there was this little girl of about 2 years with her parents who went up to qianru wailing, demanding for her balloon. and seriously qianru, i totally disagree with you on your decision to give up your balloon to that spoilt girl. her parents didnt even thank you or stop their kid from taking your balloon! look at how disastrous some parenting can be. they cant even take their kid in hand properly. if that was my kid i'll like drag her away immediately and stuff a pacifier into her mouth. ok you can call me evil but ohmanz i cant stand spoilt kids like seriously.:((
relatives are coming over for 团圆饭later so mum's chasing me off the computer. shall write again soon:D
