AHSCO GOT GOLD!!!! I WANT TO TELL THE WHOLE WORLD MAN!
im so very proud of ahsco and i love it like crazy seriously. i dont know how many times i should say it to prove my point. im so proud of myself and my solo parts for SONG OF CICADA and FENG. syf is finally over, and i am really happy to say that i can handover and leave ahsco without any regrets at all (: thats the best feeling. no matter what has happened in the past, it doesnt matter anymore. all the sad tears, the negative thoughts, the bad feelings about one another, they all dont count anymore, cos the main thing is that everyone has done their utmost best, and we attained our desired award (:

syf day, yesterday, was a total mad rush, and so many events happened that it felt like three days in a row without sleeping. we reached co room at 7.55 after flag-raising, and immediately went to the main school hall for our final practice. alot of people passed by the hall and watched us play, which made me a bit uncomfortable cos they kept peeping. at 10am, we went to canteen for our very early lunch and i couldnt even eat anything much, wasted one-third of my vegetarian noodles, like shit. hahah but after that i went to change into the red red costume and black pants (which i still dont like, until now) and my court shoes and then went to the hall to move the yangqins to outside the d&t storeroom. lol then before that, i realised that i havent tuned all the three yangqins, and in a flurry i practically ran to the main school hall and desperately called for a tuner. by the time i finished tuning it was about 11.30 and i rushed back to CO room to put on my make-up and tie the (LOL) red and gold ribbons. i realised that everyone had already put on their make up and got ready while i was still super not ready, and when i went into co room yujun was like "eh dora 还没有绑ribbon leh!" haha mad rush see i told you. stephanie helped us to say a prayer to God to bless us with Gold and then immediately after that we started to carry the yangqins from the main school hall to the d&t storeroom to load onto the lorry.

on the lorry, fangyun was seriously crazy. she's a sec one, and the only word to describe her is simply, CRAZY. she was totally shouting out of the lorry and embarassing ourselves. i felt like asking her to get a hold on herself, lol. dont know why, talking to her made me feel like i was talking to a p3 kid. and she said i looked like a sec2, like LOL! im sec4 luh! and the lorry ride really messed up my hair.

ok, reached SCH. and we waited for almost one hour before it was our turn. like wth, the waiting time was unbearable. suhui almost lost her score, but found it with charmaine in the end. seriously i think some people should be more responsible, and they should really take care of what they do to other people. many of us were nervous, but i wasnt really very nervous, more of worried. ESP FOR THE SHENG OFFBEATS FOR 蝉歌. when its our turn to go onstage (2.20), i stood at the bottom of the staircase to the stage and looked around the hall, and i saw my parents waving madly at me. lol especially my father. he was waving like some __.
okay then our 13mins on stage. i was so worried that my yangqin's notes will go wrong man! kept asking the helpers (ivy and some other sec one) to not bang my yangqin against anything. at first, i thought those 13mins were really not enough for us to showcase our true talents, but i was contented when the results were out lah. on stage, mandy and joscelin broke both their first strings on their liuqins!! omg! since they only had one extra liuqin, joscelin took it and mandy continued to pretend to play on an invisible string. and shujun also broke her zhongruan string. O.O dunno why so many unfortunate events occurred. the last time round, nothing seemed to happen haha. when we left the stage, mandy started to cry but i didnt cos i just continued to feel worried about our impending results....
back in co room at 3.30. after carrying back up all our instruments, we took a CO photo:DD i love it when we take whole CO photos, feels like a 全家幅(: gave my farewell gifts to about half the CO haha although i didnt get anything much back, i still felt really satisfied cos i sincerely believe that giving is better than receiving.
finally, we chionged to SCH again. actually we wanted to watch lin lao shi conduct greendale, but we werent in time. in the end, we just squeezed into the hall for the results. waited from 5.30 until 6.15 (like hell), before they finally announced. here are the results. ( i included day 2, today's results as well)

me and mandy cried like crazy just as the emcee announced our result, and we just embraced(: my tears of joy, they just flowed like a river. so many thoughts were going through my head. what if we get silver? what if we cannot face the seniors with our lousy result? what if we make lin lao shi lose face? and most importantly, have all our efforts and practices gone to waste? but when the emcee announced, it was such a great relief okay! jolynn sitting one row in front of me and mandy also started crying. she passed us a pack of tissues each. didnt use them though i was too busy wallowing in my tears of joy. and i didnt even get to write down the rest of the school's results cos i wet the paper i was writing with and i just didnt want to think of anything else. called terie while crying and i think she couldnt make out what i was saying, lol.
so we went to bedok macs to celebrate. yujun wasnt very happy about us getting gold though but i shant blog it as it will definitely dampen my spirit. at macs, i had a darn good time laughing like hell. the feeling is just indescribable. after which terie came along and let us hear our recordings of the syf! song of cicada and feng! :D three cheers for these two songs man! i cant believe i actually broke down and cried when i listened to feng again, esp the figure 12 that part, it really sounded good and touching. and i thought it really portrayed the desire, or better, desperation of the whole ahsco to get a good award. im really proud of the suonas, aka chinese trumpets! :D
and lastly i seriously want to thank so many people for everything.
zhenyi, thanks for being such a supportive and encouraging friend and always helping me when im feeling down and listening to my rantings about ____.
weiqian, thanks for also being such a great listener and gossip-monger (lol) and its been great fun talking to you and listen to your perceptions cos i all i can do is laugh at you.
leejing, thanks for being such a patient and good vice-pres haha i enjoy laughing at your funny faces too (:
jolynn 亲爱的, thanks for being such a supportive senior and ahsco will always love you. we juniors really feel proud when seniors love the music we play and you always give us the will to perservere on(:

joscelin, thanks for being such a goody goody goody nice confidante to talk to and i will never ever feel awkward to tel you anything haha(: i hope we can continue to be good friends after sec 4! :D and the rest of the 1B'06 clique too!

me and joscelin after napfa 2.4 run today, at east coast park! haha too bad its our last time running there. im really satisfied with my position, cos i finally got it back after 3 years! although i was the laziest this year, didnt even run or train for napfa. yes, my fourth resolution is failed:( haha never mind cos i still feel very satisfied with and proud of myself. and liling!! DUO LUO LA IS FREAKING PROUD OF YOU! LOVE YOU MAN! I CANT APPLAUD YOU ENOUGH! YOUR PERSERVERANCE AND FIGHTING SPIRIT TOUCHED ME:D do that for O levels too! lishan came in first and liling came in second, ada came in fourth, i came in __ and xinting came in seventh! YAY! 4G girls are good runners and we did 4G proud by snagging the top 10 positions haha(:

Oh ya, congrats to AHS CHOIR for achieving the GOLD W HONOURS award again for the 2nd time and bringing great glory to the school! :D so happy for them! band got silver, at least they maintained. so to the band, dont feel so sad/ depressed ok, everything was worth it(:
