as i reflect on the past three days, it has occurred to me that life can be so unpredictable, and i really think that we should try our best, no matter how tough the going gets, to live it without ANY regrets.

we lost our grandmother to final-stage lung cancer in merely 2.5 months. at first, the doc said 6months when she was diagnosed with it but it quickly shortened to 'anytime'. grandma has been suffering tremendously in the last few weeks of her life, with her dependence on morphine to relieve her pain. as i think about the events that led up, i really want to say that im proud of my grandma and her courage to live. even though it might only be 2.5 months, we know that her efforts in and out of hospital deserve great applause.

grandma passed away on Valentine's day. what a sweet day to choose, grandma, we will never forget the love and care you used to shower on us. we know you want us to remember you for that.

why is it that we always celebrate a birth, but mourn a death? why cant we come happily, and leave happily as well? sometimes, the unfairness of life really bewilders me.


goodbye, grandma. you're dearly missed.
